Miss Millie Quilt Series

Miss Millie is my favorite favorite aunt! She has the sweetest round little face with wire rimmed glasses, blue eyes that sparkle when she smiles. She lives north of the Rockies in a very little town that the tourist flock to every year to see the mountain flowers and the quaint shops. There is a large lake there when the men spend hours fishing.

Today you will find my aunt working at the quilt shop, she enjoys meeting the tourist and teaching them all about piecing a quilt. After work she goes home and works in her lovely garden until dusk. The garden isn't very large but it is so very lovely. The first quilt I made for this series featured a white rose from the rose section of the garden. Now I am working on a very large pink sunflower, only Miss Millie can grow pink sunflowers!

Tomorrow the girls come to sew all day at Miss Millie's little white farmhouse. All the windows have lace curtains, wood floors that glisten and are covered with rag rugs, of course quilts just everywhere in the house and a very nice kitchen. In the middle of the kitchen is a large round table. The girls have sewn, laughed and eaten around this table for the last 20 years or so. Just wait until you meet them tomorrow........
