PEACHES

The little pumpkin quilt is ready for the binding. I actually quilted some little pumpkins on it and it turned out pretty good - so the peach quilt is on the drawing board.
We once lived in the San Joaquin Valley in California where they grow all kinds of wonderful things. Near our home we had orchards of peaches, almonds and nectarines. When the fruit was getting ready for harvest you could smell the peaches while driving down the farm roads. We could go directly to the farms and buy crates of fruit to dry or freeze. Let me tell you when those trees began to blossom it was amazing. Our backyard backed up to an almond orchard. From our upstairs windows you could see a sea of pale pink blossoms - beautiful. Well back to sewing down binding............
