Oregon.....

Yesterday we drove to Pendleton, Oregon - just 3 hours away. Oregon is so very pretty. First we climbed up a mountain and enjoyed the lush valleys and pines and then dropped down into a flat valley where the wheat farmers live. I guess we picked a good day to go, usually its in the 100's but yesterday was rainey and cool. First stop was the Pendleton Mill. I have always wanted to visit the place and buy a blanket or two. We got to go see how they make the wool into yarn and then all the looms in action. Only 40 people run this plant and they turn out about 200 to 250 pieces a day. Unfortunately we left all the blankets there..........

I would love to have a tour of the Mill as I never have. The blankets are very expensive. Did you get any wool scraps?
