I'm going to Washington to have some fun this coming week. My friend Leslie and I are going to hang out, eat out and shop!
Can you possible even imagine how thrilled I am to have a friend for over 45 years - YES, we met when we were one!!
I was mostly a stay at home mom, she worked long hours in the mortgage business, and we lived in different states so we just didn't get to spend a lot of time together. When I came to Idaho last October her sweet husband drove her all the way down from Washington to spend a day with me - my husband would put me on a plane and say, "You guys have a great time!" (He just doesn't like car trips).
We have packed a lot of stuff up again and when I get back we will scrub our little duplex up and count the hours until we can go get the UHaul. I got a nice comment about my veggie garden from my friend in Oregon so I will go get some containers when I get home and plant a few veggies. I do remember when I came in October it was just getting cold so maybe we can enjoy some fresh veggies in September. The first thing on my list is for Jerry to build some planter boxes in my new garden.
I wanted to leave you with a picture of my Prairie Schooler ABC project. I am leaving a few blank areas until I can order some hand dyed threads. I'm not sure what colors to do the large letters in each box. I'm not a big fan of cats but the kitty is turning out pretty good with the hand dyed thread I chose for him. I can hardly wait until I get to some of the fun letters, I'm not liking the C letter (a cow with horns)!
