10th Day of Christmas Joy.........

I have always loved
cross-stitch ornaments,

but I didn't know how to make
them pretty until some
friends in Oklahoma showed
me theirs....

and then I found Carol's blog
and all her beautiful
ornaments....

Someday I like to have
another tree with ornaments just
like hers....

For this tree we started to collect
red and gold ornaments
after the kids left home, the
back is still pretty sparse but its
fun to find just the right ornaments
every season for it....

Pretty sneaky how those little
cross stitch guys ended
up on it....

See the back is pretty empty....
Poor little snowman all by himself....

My Shepherd's Bush piece
got unpacked and is
up on the wall this year!

Tonight's goodies:

Thumbprint Cookies
1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1 egg separated
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup chopped nuts
Raspberry Jelly
Mix butter, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla
Sift the dry ingredients together and mix
with the butter mixture.
Beat egg white.
Roll into small balls and dip in egg white, roll in nuts.
Place about 1" apart on ungreased baking sheet,
press thumb gently in center of each.
Bake 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven or until set.  Cool
Fill centers with Raspberry Jelly

Its been my pleasure to share a little of
our Christmas Joy with
you this year.
My prayer for each of you is to
have a wonderful Christmas holiday!
