8th Day of Christmas Joy.........

Its just a little unbelievable that
Christmas is next week...

I'm working on
finishing some ornaments
this Sunday.....

Mary's Sugar Cookies
(not sure who Mary is but her
cookies are wonderful)
1.5 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla,
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
2.5 cups of flour
1tsp soda, 1 tsp cream of tartar
Mix the butter and sugar, add egg
and flavorings.
Sift dry ingredients together and mix
in with butter mixture.
Chill for 2 hours.
Roll dough 3/16" thick and cut out
using your favorite cookie cutters.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 7 to 8 minutes.
Only two days to go,
I hope you are having a wonderful day!

I just love your cupboard, Elizabeth, and you dress it so nicely with the changing seasons. It looks wonderfully festive!

Have I told you before how much I love that hutch cupboard, Liz (well, I LOVE IT!!). What fun it must be to decorate it each season :) Thanks to Mary and you for the yummy sounding recipe--15 cups of confectioner's sugar!! They have to be good :)
