How to Make A Scrap Quilt.....

I have never actually made a scrap quilt before. I have this problem with color. When I pick colors for a quilt if they are off it just really bothers me, so to just sew a bunch of scraps together will be hard for me to do. I was cleaning my sewing closet this morning and decided I just cannot use little pieces of fabric anymore. I will start a project and find just the right fabric but of course I cannot buy anymore of it. So I drew up a cute fun quilt and decided to use all my fabrics up. Sure. But I also noticed that a lot of my fabric just looks good together, probably because I love greens, pinks, creams or tans, cranberry, greens. Now I have 4 quilts to finish by next week so I don't need to start this but I think it will be the perfect project for the weekend. It has been raining today so its too muddy to work outside and I made homemade pizza for dinner so that will work for tomorrow too, so I think I will cut out a few blocks and see how I do............

After you make a scrap quilt, I bet you will be hooked! I was after my first one and now all I want to buy are fat quarters so I can always have small pieces of fabric! Good luck, but more importantly, HAVE FUN!!!

Oh, I hope you like it. I have found scrap quilting to be very freeing. I am braver when sewing with "free" fabric. The quilts have a spontaneous feel to them. I like the challenge of making it work. Good luck!

I do love a scrap quilt and will anxiously await to see what pattern you use!
