5th Day of December....

It is one of those great Sunday afternoons, sun is shinning, house is clean and decked out for Christmas, had a great lunch (cooked chicken from Wally-world, husband is having a little nap, great church service, and I can stitch all afternoon....

Do you love books? I listened to a radio program yesterday and the gentleman being interview said he had over 6,000 books. When I was a little girl my mom would take me to the library - the children's section was in the basement - she sat me down with a book or two and would go do her shopping. I never moved an inch. She would always tell me I was exactly where she left me surrounded by books, a very happy little girl. It's funny though I don't remember reading a lot of books that I hear about now. Tasha Tudor is an example, she has wonderful little books for children. I have two of her books, I especially enjoy her Christmas book.

Dear friends I hope this Sunday afternoon finds you warm, healthy and enjoying the day.......

BookS?? Oh yes!!!! Some of them are probably by best friends, too! Could you imagin being able to leave a child in the library now while we off to shop? Over the summer I took my two grandchildren to the library for story time. I walked about 20 feet away from them and the librarian about had a coronary! Geesh!... Such a different word we live in, but a good world can be shared by sharing the gift of books ....
